The FEFCO 0201 is a ‘Slotted’ style box that requires no tooling to manufacture in its basic form. It is by far the most common box type and is often referred to as a ‘standard’ or ‘regular’ box.
It is usually glued or stitched together during manufacturing, and the user tapes together the top and bottom flaps once they are filled.
This style combines an incredibly efficient use of material with the ability to manufacture in one pass, at high speeds, to make it the most cost-effective box style available. As a manually assembled box the 0201 is shipped flat pack, the end user will fold in the top and bottom flaps to create the box's ‘base’ and ‘lid’. The simplicity of this FEFCO design ensures a straightforward assembly requiring a minimal skill level and time investment.
This style of box is most often manually erected and sealed but can also be fed through an automated box/carton erection machine to create increased levels of efficiency in high volume environments.
