Our in house design team operate the latest industry software design package. Complemented by a fully computerised sample table capable of producing prototypes for testing and approval.
Our designers consider all elements of the customers design brief and apply other factors including:
Material grades in the corrugated industry have evolved to a point where they provide a reference only and are often interpreted differently from supplier to supplier. From a sample we will measure sizes, test material and confirm styles to ensure that we are providing a like for like quotation. Even if you have specifications and diagrams, a sample is crucial to guaranteeing that we're comparing 'apples with apples'.
Print can be a very effective way to add value to your boxes. From simple logo design to full coverage print, inside and out.
Flexographic printing (flexo) is the most cost-effective way to produce printed cardboard boxes. Adding pennies rather than pounds to the box cost, it is the ideal solution.
Our machinery is capable of printing up to 4 colours in one pass. We can also print 2 colour outside and 2 colour inside in one pass.
We are equipped with an ink kitchen which enables us to blend our own inks. This means we can print any Pantone colour you require or match to your company colours. You aren’t limited to a brown box with a black print (unless that’s what you want) but can create fully custom boxes.
Our machine operators will quality check the print at the start and during the print run to ensure that it matches your approved artwork. In addition, we have a spectrophotometer to ensure accuracy on the colour consistency.
The European Federation of Corrugated Board Manufacturers (FEFCO) is a non-profit organisation representing the interests of the industry across Europe and addressing a wide range of issues, from technical topics to economical questions.
FEFCO created a recognised library of box styles that help assist packaging companies and their customers. When starting a new project always consider whether a pre-existing box style can be used or modified.
What is a FEFCO code?
A FEFCO code is a four-digit code. The first 2 digits of the code represent the category style of the box. The second 2 digits the unique style of the box.
For example, an 0201 box is (02) - regular box, (01) - with flaps that close on both ends.
WWhat are the benefits of using a FEFCO code?
FEFCO codes launched in 1952, so their use is commonplace throughout the packaging industry. If you quote a FEFCO code, it allows us to understand your exact box requirements more quickly.
